Phonics
All children have started phase 5 phonics. Please can you visit the websites below to access some phonics games and activities that your child can complete. Make sure you click on the phase 3, 4 or 5 tab! Today is also spelling test day so please test your child on their spellings :)

Youtube have a wide range of songs and videos linking to phonics – all of year 1 children are currently at phase 5, but revising phase 3 would still be beneficial – please ensure that you supervise your child whilst watching youtube videos.

Literacy
Our focus book for our literacy unit is 'Little Red Riding Hood'. We have innovated the story by changing the characters and are now rewriting the story in simple sentences. We are all up to the wolf locking grandmother in the closet. Please support your child in writing 3 simple sentences about the ending of the story. I will attach a sound mat which will support your child with their writing. I have also attached a powerpoint of the story at the top of the page.
Maths
Our topic in Maths is addition and subtraction. I have attached today's worksheet for your child to complete! Some questions may need to be supported, at school we use lots of manipulative. We use items such as counters, cubes and small toys! Any of these will support your child's learning.
RE
Our topic in RE at the moment is Lent. We are currently learning about The Last Supper. I have attached an outline of the lesson and the task that comes with it. Please support your child in learning the Our Father Prayer.
